Specialised and Customised Blending for the Atlin Group

Atland Chemicals cc t/a Atlin Chemicals is part of a group of Companies consisting of Atlin Chemicals, with its five branches and four distributors situated in different parts of the country, Fibreglass Resin Company and Resin Complete. Fibreglass Resin Company was established as a workers trust for previously disadvantaged employees and make up the BEE arm of Atlin Chemicals. Resin Complete houses the research, testing, development and manufacturing of Atlin and does all the specialized and customized mixing and blending for the group.

History

Atlin Chemicals was established in 2000. In 2008, Atlin Chemicals change from a privately owned company to a close corporation. Fibre Glass Resin Company (FRC) was established in 2016. One of the biggest events in our history happened in 2014 when Atlin Chemicals acquired the unsaturated polyester IP from Arkema SA. Atlin Chemicals started its design centre with the acquisition of its CNC machine and rapid prototyping. Beginning of 2018 Atlin Chemicals built a mixing and blending plant in Pinetown (Durban) KwaZulu Natal. In mid-2018, Resin Complete came into full production, producing specialized products for the five Atlin branches at the blending plant in Pinetown. Our laboratory moved to Pinetown beginning of 2019 and became officially the research and development hub.

Network

Atlin Chemicals is a manufacturer and a trading Company for composite, composite related products, solvents, PU, coatings, releases, reinforcements, core materials and silicone rubber. We are renowned for our technical capabilities and our comprehensive range of products.

All our products are distributed through our five strategically situated branches across South Africa located in Johannesburg, Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town. All branches have fully equipped Warehouses with delivery vehicles, personnel and stock.

All the branches are serviced with our own trucks.

Atlin Chemicals has a well-developed infrastructure locally as well as internationally. Our trading territory range from the Cape in the south up to Dar-es-Salam in the North including a host of other countries in between such as Angola, DRC, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Eswati, Malawi and Botswana.

International Partners

Atlin Chemicals has distribution agreements in place with suppliers from the USA, Germany, France, Italy, England, China and Taiwan. Due to its international connections, Atlin Chemicals stays in touch with the latest developments. We attend International tradeshows regularly to keep abreast with the latest international trends and raw material developments. International discussions are attended and participation in discussions and the presenting of papers are encouraged
